That's the end of that!
Well guy's! I take my hat off to those who was accurate in predicting Jetsgo's demise. And for the rest of us. Oh well, shit happens and life goes on!
First of all I am not looking for sympathy, and I DO NOT feel sorry for my self.
I knew going to Jetsgo was a high risk adventure and I lost out bigtime this time.
What happened? Well, I cerainly could not have worked any more hours for less pay.
It was a wild ride. Belive what you wan't, but it was great while it lasted! I think the good people and fun we had through all bullshit and abuse we endured was a well kept secret.
I learned a tonn and will certainly put my newly gained wisdom to use at some point.
I'll keep u posted on my jobhunt, and that my friends is I have to go and do now.
And last but not last Birddog. I would like to point out that the pilots that accepted jobs at jetsgo over the last three years was not followers of Mike the white but rather the great guys in flightops, like the DFO and CP's. These guys would do anything for you, right until the end, going as far as to buy tickets for stranded pilots on their own personal credit cards!
Thanks for reading this and good luck to all!

'Rubber'...
Keep your head up my man, you sound like a good bloke so I'm sure things will work-out for you!!
You are right, that you Jgo pilots did 'roll the dice' a little bit, but as with all parts of this aviation industry, who truly knows what will happen when we move from one company to the next! We lost 4 pilots to Jgo over the last 2 years and all of them were good guys willing to take the risk.
Such is life in this industry. Whether we have 250h or 25,000h we will always be presented with options. Opportunities will always arise. We will always have to 'roll the dice' at each fork in the road...sometimes it pays-off...sometimes it doesn't!!

It seems like lately there's been a few guys from more than one company that have said something along the lines of "being the end of that." Although the stakes weren't as big as at the Jgo table (min 30K wager) the time and effort spent to get the first job, the crap endured to move on from the first job and I don't know where you guys fly but the people we fly and the crap we haul for them for years and not a single appreciative one in the bunch. "why are we late?" maybe because you checked in 400 pounds of fried chicken with 2 minutes before takeoff. "why's my stuff broken?" probably because it wasn't packed with more than a kleenex around it. "What, I can't drink my Rye on the plane?" oh boy.
I always thought this career would be a challenge but nothing quite like this year's been. Isn't this the year of the Monkey? Those crazy asian calendars say that it's just trouble for everyone.

I do not doubt the whole flight operations department have some very good people and this is the refelction of the hard work the DFO & CP's to care for their own and sympathize with those they have charge over.Rubberbiscuit wrote:

They seem to show class...and best thing to come from this whole 'kafaffle'. True leaders in my book.

Sucks for all you guys/gals working at Jetsgo....i just got back from 3 weeks vacation without looking at any canadian news to hear that Jetsgo is no longer. I am so pissed at M.L. for the way that he administered this company. He left a bunch of decent people on the hook with huge debt. And what happens to Mike the white??? well, he moves onto his next project. the whole airline industry suffers because of his arrogance. He has single handedly f*cked over hundreds, if not thousands of people. All those pilots with the debt from the training, all the laid off cabin crew and admin staff. if he had actually had to run his business responsibly, none of this would have ever happened. stupid rich f*ckers that think having an airline is sexy. argh.
