Porter Airlines PFO?
I did a Porter Airlines interview for a Captains position late last fall. (First week of December) and I just recieved an email from the Chief Pilot and HR. The email stated "The purpose of this letter is to inform you that your application is in the pool for future candidates for review and we trust that you will maintain an interest in Porter Airlines. As such please keep us updated regarding your current status, . . . " Does anyone know if this is the standard Porter Airlines PFO or is there a pool for future candidates. Any input would be appretiated.
Thanks

It says right in your quotation that you are entered into a pool. PFO's generally say that they are not interested at this time, but you may apply again in 6 months. Your letter sounds positive. Good luck.

I got this same email on friday as well... I don't take it as a PFO. The other candidates were just a better fit than we were and I am sure Porter will review our applications as soon as it will be some need for them to hire again. But who knows where we will be when that will happen...! Good luck!

Hey,
Got the same email as you guys. I was also wondering about the real meaning of it. Are you sure they're still sending PFO letters? This may be a new way of doing it at a lower cost.
Cheers!

PFO's went out a long time ago. The calss for April is full. However the training department is gearing up fpr 2 more classes in July. I wouldn't think that the letter there should be considered a PFO rather a standby, there is more to come.

Why can't you just phone the HR person and ask them directly instead of wondering and asking on here?
