Ok as topic says..
I have more than 5 t/o and landing in 6 months in a twin..
Do need to get 5 in a single to be current to carry pax?

Yes. "Category" refers to aeroplane v. helicopter v. glider, etc., and "Class" refers to single-engine v. multi-engine and seaplane v. landplane (CAR101.01).CAR401.05(2)(b) where a passenger ... is carried on board the aircraft, has completed, within the six months preceding the flight,
(i) in the case of an aircraft other than a glider or a balloon, in the same category and class of aircraft as the aircraft, or in a Level B, C or D simulator of the same category and class as the aircraft, at least
(A) five night or day take-offs and five night or day landings, if the flight is conducted wholly by day, or
(B) five night take-offs and five night landings, if the flight is conducted wholly or partly by night,
Seems silly at first glance, as you're moving back to a simpler airplane. But singles often have adequately different handing characteristics to justify the requirement. For example, the lighter control forces that initially result in over-controlling, and (if you're moving back from a bigger twin) the new eye-to-wheel height, which requires some adjustment in the flare.

Here is something even more bizarre in my opinion...
I renewed my Multi-IFR in November, I'm a class 3 instructor and yet since I haven't done my 5 T/O's and landing in any kind of plane at night in the last 6 months... I can't legally carry passengers. So I can teach you how to get your instrument rating but it's got to be before darkness sets in.
"Sorry to interrupt ladies and gentlemen, but this is your Captain...I am afraid I have to land and let everyone off before it gets dark because you see........"
