AME Licence Verification
Does anybody out there know anything about obtaining a AME LICENCE VERIFICATION. I guess the FAA has it and there is a procedure. I have never heard of it for a Canadian Licence. Is there anyone who can shed some light on this?

I guess you mentionning the FAA means you need it in order to get your application for an A&P approved, doesn't it?
What I did a few years back, other than producing the required paperwork, I got one Inspector from the TC office in Dorval
to write me a nice little letter certifying that I do have a license, number XXXXXX, for XX years/months and that no administrative or punishing procedures were on their records.
It looked like a pretty standard copy/paste/fill-in-the-blanks type of letter, so you shouldn't have to much issues in getting one from your local office.
I brought that to the ALbany FDO and the gentlement there was happy with it.

I just went into TC and requested a letter and they just asked for my license number and who to send it to. I provided email addresses and the letter was sent the following day. It basically said the same thing as above. I'll be emailing TC this week as I require another letter for a new job and license and am currently overseas.
