Actually he's closer to 8000hrs corporate jet Captain. I think he just did a ride not long ago so yeah his IFR should be fresh

Exactly! Nobody can comment about your career or lifestyle choices but you. I had guys quit from my class after a few months because it just wasn't for them. And that was their business.

First class is going on now. Stop by the Airways Centre and see for yourself, and it's pilots, not FAs. I know the first ground school was suppose to be the 19th. Just calling it as I see it.

I liked the Workopolis application better because you could see how often recruiters were hitting your app. This time it's more like when I land... I'm in the dark with no idea what's going on until it's over.

I don't understand how they could already have a class going before having a bid out. Wouldn't all the reduced pilots have to be re-instated into the available positions before they would be able to offer them to newhires?

The process cant be that fast. Interview, sim, medical, than 2 weeks notice, etc...

are you sure they are new hires or could it be a recurrent groundschool?

perhaps they are there for interviews?

I'm guessing a recurrent ground-school. I know a few people who were called .. pretty much the same day the advert went up. They were told July 19th would be the first new hire class.

Yes I was told last year that I was a successful candidate for the May 19th GS.
