Is it frowned upon to go into a company, shake hands with the CP, and hand in a resume, while on a layover with ones current employer?

Stuck in the right seat now, searching for a company that provides an oppurtunity to advance to the left seat in the future. I travel coast to coast, visiting most 703 operators in the country. I've heard countless times handing in a application in person is most effective, exspecially with remote area operators. With a great attitude, and nearly 1500tt, I've found no luck at all, only the odd offer to ramp indefinatly. Perhaps it is due to my approach?

There are two kinds of time, company time and your time. When you are on company time you should only be thinking about your job, what you do on your time is nobodies business but your own.

You are doing the right thing. The new job will come.

Don't ever bad mouth the company you are working for even if things aren't that great - perhaps they aren't bad but understandability you want some different experience and that is why you'd like to work for your next employer. Nothing wrong with letting that be known to as many companies as you can in person.
