another YYZ port question.
I'm finishing up my line indoc and need to sign up for a port soon. I live in YYZ, but have heard that it's been hard getting YYZ pairings. Can anybody give their 0.02. Is YOW a better option for a Toronto pilot?
Re: another YYZ port question.
Hi,
I suggest go see one of the crew planners. They will help you - as mentioned when they did their presentation in the initial ground school.
Dave.

Re: another YYZ port question.
That sounds like a good idea. I'll call them on Monday. Thanks again Dave.
Re: another YYZ port question.
First of all, welcome aboard.
I would sign up for YYZ. Signing up for YOW will lead to you commuting to 2 places, YOW and YYC.
If you sign up for YYZ and give port attributes high priority in your bid, you will have success with your schedule.
There are a few F/Os that have the bidding for YYZ pairings figured out. I would seek them and Crew Planning out and give it a whirl.
Good Luck,

Re: another YYZ port question.
If you bid days off, you will not get any port flying. Another option is to bid for YYZ layovers - you will get almost all your overnights there. If you live decently close to the airport, you can sleep in your own bed almost every night.
The feet you step on today might be attached to the ass you're kissing tomorrow.
