Buttonville flights grounded for weekend
In response to a request from the Buttonville Airport Community Committee, Toronto Airways is withdrawing its fleet of aircraft from conducting flight training circuits over Markham and Richmond Hill between 4 and 8 p.m. during the Labour Day weekend.
The two groups are working together to maintain harmonious relations between the airport and the community it serves and halting holiday training is the next step.
Often residents of Richmond Hill and Markham complain about the fly-over noise that is produced from the airport and following two crashes this summer from planes destined for or leaving Buttonville airport, there has been public outcry for the removal of the air-strip due to safety concerns.

How do you go 205 kts TAS on 32 gal/hr without turbos!
Re: What's next? at YKZ.
So, no circuits for 3 days from 4pm to 8pm.
This happens every year on Labour day. Big Deal.

Yeah. The schools at CYTZ are completely closed this weekend, but that may be more to do with the jets tearing through the airspace all weekend.
