Submersion/Egress Training

Post by cdnpilot77 »

Does anyone know of civilian submersion or underwater egress courses offered in Canada or the US?

FYI I took the course that North Shore links to above, back when Brian first started his whole egress gig. Don't know what it costs anymore but I would gladly take the course again at the current rates, whatever they are, because the training was invaluable. If you're not located on the coast I believe Brian takes his show on the road so you might be able to work in a location closer to you...
Best Regards,

I did Bryan's course back in 2006 and it was a great experience. As has been said, the training is invaluable. While it probably doesn't come close to what it actually feels like to be in an airplane upside-down, underwater, my guess is that its far better to have this practical training under your belt than to try to get out of a submerged airplane without ever learning the basics.

Bryan's course is fun and interesting, and he delivers the material very well. I took my course in YOW. I'm not sure how much he's on the road these days, but I'd recommend you attend if you can when he's in town.

I took Brians course last year. It was just over $300 dollars and WELL worth the money. I highly recommend it, he does a phenomenal job of delivering the material.

I've taken this one in Dartmout, NS....it's far and away the best course. But it's a fair bit more money.

I've also taken this one, and it's much cheaper(I think around $300). Also invaluable training, but not up to the level of Survival Systems, Inc.
