The music is starting, but are we seeing the impact yet?
Was the recent hiring at the majors just a spurt, or are the clouds parting?

I can give you a list of the companies that are laying off...they are the last 3 on my resume

Is it because it's the fall and things slow down for many companies? Porter has more ground schools coming, there's Sky Regional, Westjet keeps hiring, of course Air Transat and Air Canada are hiring right now too. Things can't be THAT bad still! Or are they???

It sounds all well and good that everyone is hiring and I'm sure the people undergoing interviews are a happy bunch, but unfortunately my phone hasn't rung. I suppose there are much more qualified people that have been waiting for this to happen and when they are scooped up they'll come looking for my fine self. 
For me it's just been sideways or downwards movement after each layoff. Although I wasn't too surprised at this one as it is influenced by the season.

The line up to get OUT the door at my company is getting long.... and they are starting to get out. Should only get better in the new year, as long as the U.S. can stay out of the shitter.
