Unique Helicopter View

So, I thought some of you might wanna see the video I made this weekend around Vancouver BC in an R44 Helicopter.

My first cut at it, gonna do a quicker, more up tempo edit soon with some cool video angles I'm sure most of you have never seen. Hope you like!

The second to last landing site, on the barren rocks was taken 100 meters from a WWII B-25 crash site. The plane was rumoured to be carrying $800,000 in currency and a further $800,000 in gold bullion. None of which was ever officially recovered. It's radial engines and wings are visible in the background.

Cool shots but I I can't for the life of me figure out how you did it - particularly in the tight spots like on the bridge...

I saw the camera's shadow on the end of the blade but no sign of a rope or rope shadow - I figured maybe you got it to spin from inside but couldn't see you and couldn't see you off in the distance. My only guess is you got the rotor spinning slowly and ran for cover?

Very cool none the less.

Thanks looproll...

And Winston... I'd get the rotor spinning off the tail rotor or the freewheel unit as best I could, then run away and dive into a bush or behind a rock before the rotors would stop. The one on the bridge, my buddy was hiding with the step ladder at one end of the bridge, I hid up the road to the other.

If you watch the one on the sandbar, close to the log, you can see me with a bight green shirt in the V of the logs roots. I purposely landed with sand out my door, but climbed out the passenger side to not leave any footprints.

Was such a fun day. Best day of flying of my life.

I still want to get some shots on top of a glacier, and next to some waterfalls...

Like? I love it.

I generally don't get off on this stuff, because its usually a crappy camera jammed into the windscreen of a 172 while the theme from top-gun plays. But this is such a well executed piece of work, that I must tip my hat to it. I am really impressed with your creativity. A remarkable video! Even the music wasn't bad! Who is it?

Again, one of the best videos I have seen in ages. Well done!
