-800 has more powerful engines, higher MTOW, greater seat capacity, is longer by about 6 meters, -700 has longer range than -800

the 600/700/800(not positive about the 900 but I'd say it's included) all share the exact same engine.... the difference is that the engines are d-rated differently, obviously, with the 800 having the highest thrust rating.

The main diffrence between the -700 and -800 is air conditioning. The -800 has a diffrent pack system due to the extended fuse. There is also a tail skid on the -800 due to the longer fuse and psibility of tail strikes.
As was mentioned the -800 has 160 seats, at WJ anyway.

Sweet! So the -800 is actually a way bigger (longer) airplane!

I know the -200's are all but gone, but it's nice to have 3 different levels of essentially the same type of A/C!

The seat pitch is 31 inches in the Excel (kfc) planes. Skyservice has the lowest at 28 inches.

The engines are the same for all models of the NG including the BBJ. The landing gear and the wing are beefed up for the -800 and above.

You going to GLA this summer KFC?

bizjet

700/800 do use CFM56 variants, as do every 737 model from -300 to -900. The 600/700/800/900 use CFM-56-7s.

Pretty versatile engine the CFM, seeing as it powers everything from a A318 to a KC-135R to a A343.

Westjet's 737-200s would use Pratts, as did all -200s.

800 has 2 exit doors over each wing and 2 lavatories in the rear in addition to the one in the front. I also had storage space over the centre aisle for storage of life jackets and crew equipment.
