UK Mercy Flight Citation crash today at Birmingham UK . . .
Both persons on board transported to local hospital, and organ being transported 'rescued' and being transplanted today (Liver).
The Citation a 501SP Stallion (Williams FJ-44 engines) hit the instrument landing system glide path antennae (ILS) and had come to rest about 130m (426ft) to the right hand side of the southerly-facing runway. Aircraft was landing in heavy fog.

jeez when I first breezed over your post I thought the crew had bit the biscuit and were having their organs transplanted! Glad they made it. Looks like it was pretty foggy. Not saying this is what happened, but I wonder what it would be like to let an autopilot fly a plane into the ground on an ILS??
