Pretty awesome ad, I liked it. Are you into spinning/mixing just out of curiousity?

Yep I do spin.

2x technics 1200's
CDJ-1000mkII
DJM-500
EFX-500
Final scratch 1.5

I'd really like to grab another cdj-1000mk2 and maybe a xone 92 mixer with a rotary kit on it. Oh baby that would be nice.

I mostly spin progressive and breaks and some trance.

What styles do you like?

2x technics 1200's ==> vinyl turntable
CDJ-1000mkII ==> cd turntable
DJM-500 ==> mixer
EFX-500 ==> effects unit
Final scratch 1.5 ==> digital to analouge converter for the vinyl turntables.

that probably doesn't make things any clearer?

cool, what software were you using? reason, fruity loops, ableton, acid pro, or something else? I'd love to get ableton going with a midi control and mixer with a midi interface.

Just wondering- do you do this as a hobby, or do you do this as a part-time job and make some money?

Great video by the way!

I'll see if i can fire up a mix sometime soon-ish. I'll have to find somewhere to host 80-120megs and i'll record something.

Man it's been too long for me to remember. I think it was called "CoolEdit". I'm sure it's primitive compared to the stuff that's available today. Technics was always the way to go for tables. I found an old website that still works that we used to toy around with for fun, you may like it.

Finally got a mix recorded. The recording crashed half way through so it's not exactly a smooth mix out. Not nearly as good as fingersmac =(
one day maybe

you have to right click it and then say save target as. Otherwise it will try and download the whole file and then play it just once.

What's up endless,

I used to spin myself years ago, when I was in my late teens/early twenties. Worked at the hottest night club in Montreal back then "Studio 55". I had two Technics SL1200's, an 18 channel TEAC mixer and with this club being so huge, 18 amplifiers (6 base, 6 mids, and 6 hi's). Man what a sound!! After reading your post, it reminded me of those days.

Keep on spinning!! :wink:

18 channel mixer would be insane. The club that I'd like to hit in montreal now is aria. I don't know if that one would have been around at that time. It's funny how the technics SL1200 turntable has remained a club fixture for so many years.

You're so right endless. There are a few after hours clubs here, but as far as I'm concerned, none of them beat Aria. Now that you've brought that up, it just made me realize, that I havn't been there in quite a while. Getting old I guess. 8)
