I have to say congrats to my friends at AC both up front and in the back for the excellent product they have been providing. As a commuter I have witnessed unbelievably courteous, professional, and to the point service. Those of us who have traveled internationally and especially in the US, really realize just how spoiled we are with the two EXCELLENT airlines we have in this Canada.

Keep it up!

* Best Flight Attendants in North America
* Best In-Flight Services in North America
* Best North American Airline for Business Class Service
* Best North American Airline for International Travel
* Best Airline Web Site

MONTREAL, Dec. 10 /CNW Telbec/ - Air Canada has won five top honours in Business Traveler's "Best in Business Travel" award program, the most first place awards won by any airline in the world in the influential magazine's annual reader survey.

"Air Canada is very pleased to have earned this recognition from the readers of Business Traveler magazine, who are experienced flyers and discerning travelers. It is particularly gratifying that they have selected Air Canada for a wide range of services including its website, its flight attendants, and its on-board services for both North American and international travel. Clearly our customers appreciate the amenities we offer, such as our 180-degree lie-flat suites in Executive First and seatback video throughout the fleet, and the hard work of Air Canada's 26,000 employees, who are the true winners of these awards," said Ben Smith, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Air Canada.

Air Canada has been voted by the readers of Business Traveler as offering the Best In-Flight Services in North America, the Best North American Airline for Business Class Service, and the Best North American Airline for International Travel - all for the third year in a row. For the second consecutive year, Air Canada was recognized as having the Best Flight Attendants in North America, and, for the first time this year, the Best Airline Web Site. Earlier this month, Air Canada was honoured by another influential business travel magazine when Global Traveler named Air Canada the Best Airline in North America.

Results of the 23rd annual "Best in Business Travel" awards were revealed at a ceremony last night in Los Angeles. Business Traveler is one of the world's leading authorities on business travel and the awards were based on a U.S. readership survey. Business Traveler has 10 editions worldwide with more than 500,000 readers.

It'll be interesting to see if the Calgary Herald -the mouthpiece of Westjet- picks up this story. :smt040

I haven't flown on any US carriers recently, however the one thing I have noticed is that Air Canada is like the Conservatives.

Unless you spend tons of money on the business class ticket, your opinion just doesn't matter.

I am curious how many of those fine folks that where interviewed are from the economy section as the awards don't staight anything about that.

Now yes the business class seats are awesome, service etc. is exemptional

Air Canada has always treated me pretty well. They've made up for even the smallest mistakes on my ticket by giving me an upgrade or lounge access. I've been part of the banter from time to time, then I flew 3 diff US airlines on my way to and from Cancun back in 2008 and the difference in quality is night and day. I took 3 different Northwest flights to get to Cancun. Continental from CUN to Houston, Delta from Houston to Minny, and NWA again back to Canada and the service on all 6 legs was pretty pathetic.

In comparison it makes our airlines look like Cathay, but when it boils down to it, I'm happy with both products. Never flown Transat or Canjet or anything so I don't know what to say for them.

When UA loses your bag, you no longer get to talk to a person. They have a self service computer that you type your stub into to automatically generate a claim.

But then when you stop and think about it, talking to the computer may, in a lot of cases be better than the customer service present.

Besides, you don't see American rampies & CSA's doing this;

Just to get technical, you still won't see AC rampies and CSA doing that.

That was put on by a dance company, the music provided by abandon paris FOR Air Canada.

I do agree though, if the company approached a couple dozen employees to do this. That would have been cool

Isn't that just like AC. All smoke and mirrors.

As a matter of fact AC employees were part of both groups (singers and dancers) and instigated all this.

Isn't it like Westjet to make themselves feel good my raining on other peoples' parade.

Did they get their idea from TAP in Lisbon?

Either way, I hear more and more positive feedback regarding Air Canada all the time, so they must be doing something right! Congrats to everybody involved.
