rar file opener

[fun_times]

i can't find a program to open up this file i have in a zip type format that is a RAR file

anyone have any clue about this or what to use?

I've found this utility to be quite good at opening most formats of archive files:

It's open source (and is free); and seems to function quite well. I've not found may files it wouldn't handle.

Or I think winRAR works on that stuff.

Just download the english winRAR. When I rarely use Windows, I keep using a trial version that lasts forever.

What istp said - Winrar is the program for rar files. Click on the first rar file and it'll decompress them all (if there's more than 1 in the series).
