And they are off...........

As a side note I hear Druxy's has been given the boot (the Deluce boot). And that Porter now leases just about everything on the island that the Pappalardo clan does not.

Just be sure to eat your left-over extra-saucy chicken wings before you brief any approaches on the Ipad!

We all know it's not top secret what guys make at AC/Jazz/WJ/Porter etc. but for some reason it's pretty hard to hear the numbers at Sky. Are the salaries that good or poor that no one wants us to know? :)

tailgunner, you meet the very definition of ignorant
(ig·no·rant/ˈignərənt/Adjective
1. Lacking knowledge or awareness in general; uneducated or unsophisticated.
2. Lacking knowledge, information, or awareness about something in particular: "ignorant of astronomy". )
The Jazz payrate for the 757 155.00/hr and @ 90hrs/month is about 167,400.00
now, do some research on how status pay works, otherwise your attempt to slag the Jazz pilot group for dividing the pay equally among us is futile at best. A dash 8 pilot making 110.00/hr, thats lowering the bar? really ignorant, me thinks.

90 hrs a month?????!!!!!!! I'm doing 65 on a 37' in the west and that's just a perfect balance between home and work life. If you're looking for a divorce, work 90hrs a month. Anyone anywhere can work more to make more, but is it really worth it!!?

90 credit hours which is about 10 days work. I'm not on the '57 so I can't verify those numbers but I do know the '57 folks work about 10 days a month.

90 credit hours are 90 credit hours regardless of how many days you work. Just because I used to be able to fly 145 hrs in 18 days instead of the 22 days my collegues were flying doesn't make it any less fatiguing...

Come on people the idea is to work LESS for MORE money.

And no disrepect BC, but good luck with that! Fly less, make more! The way this industry is going, again, good luck with that!

Tailgunner:

Skyservice (Airlines) is no longer in business. Perhaps that number you mentioned had something to do with it (so now go off on a tangent).

and 110k or better 167K at Jazz? wonder who is paying for that? Oh ya Air Canada......

Let them keep spreading the wealth.

How is Air Canada paying for that? The 757 was set up with an agreement between Jazz and TC. TC pays Jazz to operate the flights. TC provides the Aircraft and pays Jazz to operate them. The crew salaries, maintenance, training even the deadheads on AC flights is negotiated on the rate between TC and Jazz.

In the end, beacuse of our status pay system, Every Jazz pilots get an uplift when the 757s got on the property. I guess one can say that TC in fact pays the Jazz pilots to fly AC aircraft as well.
