Maintenance Resources YOW , need your help!
I'm a maintenance representative of a foreign Airlines in toronto, as YOW is one of the alternate airports.Does anyone know about maintenance resources at Ottawa International airport, such as maintenance engineers, hangar ,maintence facilities etc. Are there any airlines or maintenance agencies who could provide service ? Thanks!

Re: Maintenance Resources YOW , need your help!
There are lots of guys in YOW and I know of and at least 1 AMO that can help you, however the big kicker is that if this is only an alternate airport for you can't expect maintenance companies to fall at your feet for a couple of turns every now and then. As I am sure you know setting up maintenance coverage for an operator can be pricy as well as risky. Type endorsements, special tooling, GSE equipment, parts, etc...and of course all the time invested in the paperwork are big investments for AMO's. I am sure someone would help you out in a jam but if they are busy with their regular customers you maybe waiting a while.
Not much for hangarage for large transport catergory in YOW, there is the First Air hangar, but it might be hard to get into. I sure there are some YOW guys here that will give you some more options.

Depends on what kind of equipment you are flying - First Air has lots of capeability including 737, 727, 767. Suggest you contact the DOM Mr. Murray Mud. You could also look on the TC site they have a listing of AMOs, capabilities and location

Carefull... don't let your line play out too far... might snag on a deadhead. Then you'd lose your lure.
