Float Ratings in/near Vancouver - advice please!

Hey all,
The search function was useful but I'd also like to get some more up-to-date advice...am looking to do a Float rating sometime in September whilst passing through. I'd be happy in a Cub or similar so as to keep the cost down, I'm just ticking a to-do box as opposed to choosing a career path. I'd prefer around the greater Vancouver region if possible, any wisdom shared would be very much appreciated!
Cheers guys

Wow! Nobody ever said floaters were good at spelling. "Definitely...they're...accommodating."

+1 to this. Alex is a great guy, and the same goes for all the people at CBQ2. I too took the rating just to try it out, not intending it to be a career choice. The 180 they have is a fun machine to fly that is for sure.

Pacific Rim Aviation Academy in Pitt Meadows has a 172 they use for float ratings. Island Coastal also out of Pitt has a 172 as well. I know Tom and he seems like a good guy, but have never flown with him. Has good reputation, as does Pacific Rim. Tom is much more one-on-one though as Pacific Rim is a big school. Hope that helps

With out slagging the guy on here, I'd stay away form Tom D. at Island Coastal Aviation. There is plenty of real training around.
