A prominent Edmontonian who founded one of the first aerial forest fire fighting fleets has taken his last flight.
Don Hamilton, who turned a northern bush pilot adventure into the development of Air Spray fire suppression, was 86. Earlier this year, Hamilton was inducted into the Canadian Aviation Hall of Fame. He was also one of the investors who pooled their money to keep the Oilers in Edmonton
A celebration of Don Hamilton's life will be held next Wednesday, August 3rd at the Alberta Aviation Museum on Kingsway.
A true pioneer in our field.
Condolences to the family and staff of Air Spray.
