Digital TV as of September 1

Post by . ._ »

Has this affected anyone here?

Did you have to buy a little box to hook up to your rabbit ears?

In Sudbury, my rabbit ears are still working fine. :D

On the top. I bet he watches TV in one sock if the screen needs a wipe.

That's not my actual TV. Just got the pic off the interwebs.

In reality though, I dust my TV once a year whether it needs it or not.

So no one here uses an antenna to get TV? :smt017

Nope. I only watch DVDs and Netflix on mine.

I've got a 27" Toshiba tube TV I got free brand-new out of an RV that somebody wanted a flat screen in. I've never paid for a television in my life.

We don't have cable, and the rabbit ears seem to work fine with the little converter box. Since we are saving money each month from not having cable, we use the money to help pay for a meal at our favorite restaurant.

The only problem with this new extra box is to remember which remote is needed to control which device.

Unfortunately, I don't watch that much TV so I get out of practice with the remotes, and I'm too cheap to buy one of those big master one-remote-controls-all-devices remotes.

If they have their way, they will discontinue using the air waves, and force you to stream your TV signals on the cable, via the internet. :x

YYC in my area it is a significant upgrade over analog.
The stuttering and pixelation is funny but may get annoying.
