Wait time on Sunwest or North Cariboo ramp

Post by dazednconfused »

Curious if anyone knows the average time people are spending on the ramp, at either of the two companies?

Thank you in advance.

Couple years at Cariboo (note spelling). Just remember its all about Contrail at these companies. Once you get on line you won't fly a lot. 200 to 300 hrs a year. If your single and nothing holding you back, head north or somewhere without Contrail limitations.

Beside Tuff-guy Buffalo Joe, I could be wrong but there's not that much operators that hires low time guys compared to Winnipeg/Thompson & Saskatoon. As a young single with nothing to loose I'd be delighted to move far away as possible from the deviancy of Montreal.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is Contrails? I figure you don't mean the elongated clouds that jet liners pull along behind themselves.

Edit: Disregard. Found this: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=49232

Actually there is the bag run at Sunwest, so no contrails requirements for that, you'll get a lot more than 300/year flying the Ho's.

There are several operators up north that will take low time guys: Air Tindi, Arctic Sunwest, North Wright Airways, Summit Air, and so on.
