Min vis with and w/o ops specs for the INRAT Exam

Post by J-Hunter »

I was wondering if anyone that's done the exam recently or in past years, still saw this type of question on the exam. There's a whole table, actually two tables to learn by heart, and I just wanted to be sure if it's necessary or not... or if the tables are given out during the exam. This is one of the two tables I'm talking about. Taking into account that my exam is tomorrow, I'd appreciate a reply from anyone who's got this information.

Minimum Visibility - Aeroplanes- General - Non-precision, APV, or CAT I
CAP ADVISORY VISIBILITY (sm, RVR x 100 ft) VISIBILITY REPORT (sm, RVR or Runway Visibility ft)
1/2 RVR 26 3/8 RVR or RW Vis 1600
3/4 RVR 40 5/8 RVR or RW Vis 3000
1 RVR 50 3/4 RVR or RW Vis 4000
1-1/4 1 RVR or RW Vis 5000
1-1/2 1-1/4 RVR or RW Vis 6000
1-3/4 1-1/2 RVR or RW Vis >6000
2 1-1/2 RVR or RW Vis >6000
2-1/4 1-3/4 RVR or RW Vis >6000
2-1/2 2 RVR or RW Vis >6000
2-3/4 2-1/4 RVR or RW Vis >6000
3 2-1/4 RVR or RW Vis >6000

You will not need to know these for an INRAT. This is the basic approach ban (no ops spec) for commercial ops. The INRAT covers only GA approach bans (RVR). Good luck tomorrow.

What pile_it said. The RVR approach ban is the one that'll show up in the INRAT.

As a side note to anyone who's written it recently, have the visibility rules re: level of service/RVOP/LVOP hit the test in any meaningful way yet?
