Re: Hawker Siddeley 748 Drivers
Having the honour of flying on this aircraft with some incredible people is one of the highlights of my career and I am thankful being given the opportunity to fly her. The 748 made me a better pilot.

Re: Hawker Siddeley 748 Drivers
Did they have LP cocks like the 125, or was it a firewall shutoff like the F-27?
Re: Hawker Siddeley 748 Drivers
Don't recall the F27 having any cocks at all.
Re: Hawker Siddeley 748 Drivers
HS748HP, LP, Feather button push
F27 conditon lever off, Feather button push, FFV close,
similar drill only real difference is the LP cocks's on the F27 are on the overhead, and timing/sequence

Memories of the 748...........
Engine RPM gauges were just modified altimeters that went to 15000 RPM, bigger than the attitude indicators.
Circuit Breaker #'s 70, 71, 63, 99 were important.
Most stable and honest aircraft I've ever flown.
You can smell like whale meat, dog food, caribou meat, and Jet A all at the same time.

The HP cocks are the white-topped levers in the center of the quadrant. From the aft to forward position: Feather, Fuel off, Fuel on, Lock-out. Mind you, that is an F model with the two stop propellers.
