What is the S.N. of the new Twin Otter being ferried?
I quite enjoy the story of the ferry and look forward to Michaels new posts.

I guess it'd be 870 or so. Far cry from PAT

Ahh PAT.... seems like a lifetime ago I cruised the west coast with her! PAT was a special bird... not so heavy being an early build Otter. I will have to go and see her next time I am in YYC!

Odd timing. 29 Jan, 1976 I did two round trips from Rea Point to Hecla and back on my first trip to the arctic. I enjoyed many hours in PAT with some fantastic people.

It is SN 853.
Sorry I have not kept the
diary of this ferry up to date, I have been fully occupied just flying the thing lately. I'll try to update the narrative today.

S.N. 853, thanks for the information, was wondering where they were in the production.
Do all new machines have the Cleveland brakes or is that a customer option?

Yes. To the best of my knowledge, the original Goodyear brakes are out of production. In any case, the customers overwhelmingly prefer the Parker-Hannifin (Cleveland Brake Division) brakes, because they require less maintenance.
