I'm a private pilot, 200h total time, outgrowing my flying club, and looking for block time or an ownership share in an aircraft. Can you point me to any possibilities?
What I'm after:
* 4-seat, 700-1000 lb useful load, piston
* Suitable for 200-1000nm cross-country trips (e.g. Vancouver BC to California, Edmonton)
* Suitable for IFR (instrumentation, autopilot)
* Vancouver (BC) area airports: Boundary Bay (CZBB), Pitt Meadows (CYPK), Langley Regional (CYNJ), maybe Abbotsford (CYXX)
* DA40 is a favourite aircraft, but a friend is urging me to consider a Piper Arrow as well
Why I want it:
* I'm about to start single-engine IFR training, and if block time is a cheaper way to pay for the flying portion then now's the time
* Flying club's Cessna 172s can only carry 2 people plus luggage and fuel, but 4 would be better.
* Flying club isn't really comfortable with planes being away from home for more than a couple of days at a time
You can reach me at share-buyer2012@jdlh.com . Thanks!
