most of Europe and Asia and I think Qantas has a Cadet program...

Qantas does have a cadet scheme but unless you have permanent residency or citizenship it's no use - and you cannot have held an instrument rating previously.
Heard of a couple people heading to China & Africa recently - have a look there.

250 Hrs eh? - Thats tough.
1. Instructor
2. Jump Pilot
3. Load bags and hope for the best
4. Go into business for yourself
5. Maybe float has some lower time guys.

Try ramping/fuelling (and doing a good job and be proud of your work and being a professional - people are ALWAYS watching!) at a Shell Aerocentre or an Esso Avitat - the contacts you make could be invaluable... right time, right place... you never know. Happened to a buddy of mine!

Air Baltic in Latvia if you have multi and EU passport. I know some people flying there with 300 who got on 737 or F-50 as F/O's.

Just checked they're website, no vacancies currently...Do you have to know someone there?

They're looking everytime.No you do not have to know someone in the company.License conversion is required to latvian or JAA. CPL is good with ATPL exams completed.

I dont know if those companies would hire someone with as little as 250 hours, but I could be wrong.

From what I was told, CMA now puts people with less than 1000 hours into a non-flying position. If you have 1000+ hours, you can be considered for a FO slot, depending on experience.

My friend has also spoken and met with the CP at Navair, and he was told he still has too little experience (he has +500 hours now).

I also spoke with the CP at PE Air, and they do hire for ramp/desk jobs, but they don't hire direct FO if you have 250 hours.

i dont think that employers will seriously start looking at you until you meet the magical 1000TT

Check with Northwestern Airlease inFort Smith, NWT. They hire them as green as 220 hours. You can fly withing one year and have about 500 hour per year on twins (J31, B99). Hope you are a safe guy.

This is the part where you realise you've been conned and lied to at flight school. You can continue the inside joke by becoming an instructor and luring other young, gullable suckers into the aviation industry.

Seriously though...go north, find a ramp job. Wait till feb or march though before you leave...find a good company and settle in for the long haul. No company will hire you to fly right out of school. Even if you want to go overseas, it's not going to happen without license conversions, passports etc..ie. $$$$.
