Interview call
Hey Guys just got a call from Jazz. They want me to bring my logbooks signed by the company I currently work for just for the interview??? Is that standard? Is it not enough to bring you company records of your flight hours? Thanks
Re: Interview call
Yeah, i would say that is going to be standard at any airline interview. My advise is get it as up to date as you can. Try to get all of it certified also. I've had friends have to get it certified after an interview and fax the stamped page back to the hiring committee.
Good luck!!
Good luck!!
Re: Interview call
Absolutely standard... you will be interviewed by probably two people, and HR representative and a rep from Flight Ops.. the HR person will give you forms to fill in: disclosures, that kind of thing. While you are doing that, the Flight Ops person will be going through your logbook. You should have your current time certified, for sure. He will ask you some general questions about your history from what he sees in the logbook...pretty much a conversational tone while you're filling in the forms. Good idea is to have a good copy of your resume, as well as your relevant flight docs (licence, radio certificate etc) paper clipped together in a neat fashion for them to look through.
Re: Interview call
The problem is I work in the US. Here they don't ask you for that.ive worked for two different airlines and neither one ask for certified copies. I'm not even sure if they will certify it for me. Secondly I don't want to ask them to certify it before having a job offer, why else would I ask them to certify it. Thanks for the feed back though.

Just tell them you want an annual signoff. Nothing wrong with keeping your book current and official. Even FlightSafety hands out signed stickers certifying their courses... no reason you can't get one for regular flying.ibrahim wrote:The problem is I work in the US. I was Chief Pilot of my company and tended to sign off my pilots' books once a year as part of their PCC. It was something Transport asked me if I did, and the pilots appreciated not falling too far out of date.
During my Jazz interview, they pored over every page of BOTH my logbooks. I could tell they were looking specifically for signed-off hours. So try your best to get them.
