The North West Company
They are usually looking for FO's not capt's. What Happened to the Long time Capt?

That is correct. This captain flew at TNWC for about 4 years.Ralliart wrote:Upgraded to a jet with another company, so I heard.

Re: The North West Company
I remember it was avoid the place when they were looking for fo's, because it wasn't fun flying with the Capt. I hear that from a guy I worked with for about a week every summer.
Your away from home a lot from what I can understand about the job.
but home for most weekends and even some international flying.

You are correct - maintenance is good, airplanes are very nice, locations and variety very interesting. However....flyinhigh wrote:Avoid,

The management is terrible. The Chief Pilot is very difficult to work with. VERY difficult. He is the prime reason that approximately 10 pilots have come and gone in the past five years.
AVOID.

Re: The North West Company
If its the same cp as back in 2004, I interviewed with him and he was straight up. He told me the last guy he fired after 3 weeks because he chewed in a funny way, the one before him because he took p too much space, and the next will be the same.
He's always wanted spifr, however the American "suits" wanna see two pilots. He was out to prove to the managers that he doesn't need another pilot. Hence, he wanted to make it a point that no f.o. Will last more than a month.
I ended up taking a single pilot IFR gig instead of his co pilot job. I ran into him up north and thanked him for the honesty.

Re: The North West Company
That is pretty much what I have heard but they are looking for a CAPT not an FO this time around. If they are hiring a CAPT then the only flying you'll be doing with the CP would be the training.
I know they have two planes and when I met the CP in Berens River Manitoba he told me to apply for an FO spot and I said I would think about it but never did from the stories I had heard. Now that it is a Capt spot and I have more time I am thinking about It a little.
I remember the CP telling me that Perimeter does their Maintenance and I can't imagine Perimeter having bad Maintenance. The Aircraft lookup on TC says they own 2 aircraft
C-FNWC and C-GCIK
Flight Aware lists C-GCIK as operated by SUNWEST in Calgary. So my research is seems odd.
C-FNWC on the other hand is operated by The North West Company according to Flight aware.
Good luck to anyone who applies.

They have one captain and one fo now. The new captain will fly with the CP when the fo has their time off.collegeboy wrote:That is pretty much what I have heard but they are looking for a CAPT not an FO this time around.
