Hey guys, I'm looking for input on companies' schedules because I don't know them all and I'm sure you all have more information than I do. And for guys in my shoes it would probably be nice to have a list to look at. So I'm starting this thread to find out where the best captain or senior FO jobs are in the 703 to small 705 sectors for rotations.

I believe Voyageur does four weeks on and four weeks off. Out of Africa and the Middle East with travel & accomodations PLUS huge tax benefits.

Keewatin is I think two weeks on two weeks off with travel back and forth from YWG and jumpseat agreements with the airlines.

Air Tindi is two weeks on two weeks off? or a month on and month off I hear, plus travel and accomodations.

Where else? And who pays the best?

Voyageur is two months on, two months off.

Regional 1 was 56 days out and i think 34 days off. Dash 8 overseas stuff - pay is pretty good though nothing to write home about.

Don't forget Borek.. 2 on 2 off, 3 and 3 and many other scattered rotations

Transcapital too.. and many of the survey companies, Sanders etc

Fugro Airborne Surveys is 32 days on, 28 days off. I don't know the current rotation schedule at Sander, but it used to be 2 months on at the very least.

While we're at it, the overseas tax benefits (for geophysical survey work and the UN/relief work) are unfortunately on the way out.

Really, I thought that people were away for months at a time. The above sounds pretty good. Or do they try and extend your away time and reduce your home time?

5 1/2 months on 6 1/2 months off. Manitoba gov air services, forest fire suppression.

It IS pretty good - especially compared to what it was 7 or 8, or even 5 years ago. The 32 days includes 2 days on either end for crew changes. If it takes 3 days to do a crew change, it's dealt with accordingly, with input from each rotating "pair." Occasionally you'll be asked (not "told") to extend for a few days and most of our guys are flexible enough that they will, in exchange for a longer time off, or a shorter next rotation or something.

Goldak Airborne Surveys does 2 months on, 1 off. This can change with amount of work. When time is good, guys can get paid quite well to stay on an extra month. When things are quiet, guys get lots of time at home, sometimes to the point of layoff. That's the industry though...

The caravan does some shorter ops, week here, week there. Navajos usually do bigger/longer contracts, together, although that's not a hard or fast rule.

Sander Geophysics (fixed wing) is still 2 months on, one off. Depending on work load, the time off can vary.

What would you guys say is the ideal schedule? I think 6 weeks in and out.

When I was in survey my company would usually do 4 weeks on 2 off, sometimes to a max of 6 weeks.
I liked the 4 on 2 off, depending on the location 6 weeks was ok. My boss was adamant that 6 weeks was the absolute max.

Trans Capital is 12 weeks on, (training and travel NOT included), 5 weeks off. But rotations can be extended, and time off cut short at short notice.

WWA in Saskatoon has a Stoney Rapids rotational base. I think it's 2 weeks in and 2 out. They are flying KA-200.

First Air. YFB turboprops have a pretty consistent rotation of 2 on 2 off, last I heard.
