Wolf Lake Grass Strip, Alberta

Hey guys,

Im planning on tenting/camping out at wolf lake alberta for a few nights this month.
I was wondering if anyone knew about the grass strip conditions? Does it get cut often?
Any info would help substantially.

Check the notams if planning to use Drayton Valley as a fuel stop-Drayton Valley was and maybe still is closed for a few weeks for electrical upgrades.

Fuel was cheaper in Wetaskiwin ( 1.62 per liter )than Rocky Mountain House (1.90 per liter)

August 4 and 5 Wetaskiwin air show -if planning fuel Wetaskiwin those dates go before /after air show.

Hinton is always a good grass strip to go camp out at.

Thanks for the replies.

My plan is to head to wolf lake and fly over (check the conditions out) and if they are not pleasing i will head to Hinton grass strip (thanks for the suggestion) If Hinton doesn't work out then the paved runway is very close.

The grass strip is usually mowed at this time of year. I've worked out of there lots in the summer months. Awesome camping spot.
