You mean for those who haven't watched all episodes of Mayday or Dangerous Flights yet.

think i posted this elsewhere as well but sounds like a different twist of "entre terre et ciel" (story of captain piché from transat). i know piché wasn't under the influence at the time of the incident but still... sounds like the same movie. i'll watch it though... denzel.

I think it might have been inspired by the piché story

Sounds like a mix of Piche and Sully.

...and, I was thinking a bit of Me, as well. I don't mean to boast, but I am kind of a big deal. The parts where Denzel looks super-cool and gets lucky with sexy stewardesses: that's Me. (capital "M")

The trick to scoring with stewardesses is to not let 'em know you're a pilot. Later, if they catch you flying, you have to be all cool: "come on, baby, I just do it sometimes, you know, to relax... I'm totally in control. I could quit flying anytime I want to. Trust me. Now go get me some coffee would ya babe? Allright, that's my girl."

That's what I was thinking when I saw this movie, "totally meatservo". 8)

Seriously, not a bad movie at all. Great acting, interesting story line. If you're involved in aviation, you may need to separate yourself from the crash sequence and NTSB process to avoid over-critique, but that's just a very small part of the film.

4/5 from me, the wife feels the same way, so it wouldn't kill a date night.

Went to this movie with friends of ours, after I had to explain to them that the whole thing was utter BS!! In all the years of flying I have never meant a pilot who could afford cocaine, particularly a divorced one. :smt040

Well, actually I knew of a couple of them; and both were divorced.

Went for the movie on a second date with a blond east-european girls(don't know why I like those accent), she really liked the movie but not to a point to get some extras at the end of the evening !

On a side note, the story about alcoolism is great, for some guys, will have to fight against our demons for our life on a day to day basis !
