Perimeter aviation hiring requirements
I've heard some pretty good things about Perimeter. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their experiences. Also does anyone know their usual hiring minima for an F/O?
Re: Perimeter aviation hiring requirements
Pretty sure they do not hire any direct entry FO's . Take your number, work the ramp, and wait in line.Blue_Yonder wrote:I've heard some pretty good things about Perimeter. I should have added, or the current wait time on the ramp.
Re: Perimeter aviation hiring requirements
Great company to work for. No outside hiring of F/Os. Wait time is around 1-1.5years on the ground. Things are speeding up in the industry with 2-3000hr pilots going to AC. This means F/Os are spending considerably less time in the right seat and ground is getting promoted a lot faster.
HR has a stack of resumes for those wanting a ground position. The same can be said about the applications for the direct entry metro 3 captain posting a while back.

What's the requirements to get on the ramp? Does your position on the list depend on experience, or first come first serve? Is it a guaranteed thing ramp to right seat? Do you do any flying at all in those 1-1.5 years?
Re: Perimeter aviation hiring requirements
Taking any ground position at Perimeter makes you eligible to be on the potential pilot hiring list. So don't just focus on the ramp, as other positions may be available as well.
Re: Perimeter aviation hiring requirements
It's all on date of hire, not experience. Nothing is guaranteed apart from the chance to go through training once you successfully pass your sim eval and HR/technical interview and your number comes up. Training at Perimeter is not easy in any sense; a lot of guys don't make it through. No, you don't do any flying before you're hired as a pilot.Blue_Yonder wrote:What's the requirements to get on the ramp?
