Do you think they'll just have large ponds of crude so that they can just skim for quicker turn around times??

I think this is a bad idea, as they're going to be drawing on the current pool of bomber pilots to crew them. You're not going to get just anyone to fly one of those over a tanker and drop a load of crude; Greenpeace would be all over them if they splashed a bit in the bay. So, you lure 65+ crews off the current fire fighting fleet and what happens next fire season? Disastrous all 'round... Harper or somebody should step in!

Its pretty funny some of the stories they come up with. Love the programCap'n Tripps wrote:Have you ever listened to This is that?

Do you seriously expect them to scoop the oil from a pond? Most likely, the bomber will be modified with an external connector and just use their tanks to hold the oil. Question is would they build new tankers or use existing one and just convert them back and forth between fire seasons. How the hell would this even be cost effective?!
Re: Er... not sure what to think of this..
I'm sure they would cringe a little at the use of the term "pond". More likely something like "aerial transfer reservoir". Its apparent similarity to a pond or lagoon would be purely coincidental. I'm having more trouble envisioning the other end of the leg. Would they configure the tanker with the bridge off to the side, carrier style, so they could drop the load while flying the length of the ship, rather than across it? How will they keep the splash contained?

I'll admit it, I've been snookered more than once by this show.
I love it when they play the call-in messages from others who fall for them as well.

This show is brilliant. I loved their expose on High School Band violence... Flute Fights breaking out right on stage now.

I was once duped by these two guys, they do an amazing job with their presentation.
Agreed that the people calling in can be hilarious, especially when a proposal to rename Saskatchewan has been proposed!

My favorite was the story on Stats Canada rounding off their results due to time constraints.
