Ian Gordon - Selkirk College

Post by MeAndMrPenguin »

Ian Gordon passed suddenly last week.

After retiring in early 2000, Ian moved to Airdrie to be closer to his children and grandchildren.

Ian was the heart of Selkirk's CRM program and taught advanced level classes. Any of us lucky enough to have sat in his classroom, or to have had him in the cockpit with us, know just how much he will be missed.

A true gentleman and outstanding instructor, it is truly a sad day for aviation.

I was post Ian Gordon at Selkirk. It's always sad when someone so inspirational passes away. RIP.

I just joined this forum and while exploring it, I turned to this section and found that an old friend, from long ago and with whom I had lost contact, Ian Gordon, had gone to the holding pattern. Ian was on the same course as me in 1961 and 62 in the RCAF. May he rest in peace.
