Incoming international students

Post by High Flyin »

I recently heard that no more overseas students wishing to learn to fly in Canada will be allowed in, regardless of where they are in their visa process. Citing various reasons.

Can anyone confirm? I tried searching but came up blank.

Gosh I hope not. Throwing out the baby with the
bathwater. I remember a few years ago, when
the government stopped letting Romanian strippers
into the country.

Great sadness.

I don't know why they would say that. There's a lot of money coming into the country due to those international students. It's a win win situation for Canada, more jobs created, more taxes collected. The students need food and housing and entertainment so the local businesses are also benefited.

Liberal Omar Alghabra charging that the Tories are simply trying to create a smokescreen to avoid dealing with more prescient political issues.

"It's going to backfire, just like any of the other cheap stunts that they've been pulling over the last few weeks" Alghabra said. "I mean Canadians are not fooled by this."

Lol he just does not understand the Canadian voters mentality. Those cheap stunts got the Conservatives reelected twice since this article was published. If he had only understood that rhetoric and symbolic actions were what got people elected he might not have lost his last two election bids. Principle will only get you so far.
