A faulty indicator is being blamed after a Nippon Cargo Airways Jet had to make an unscheduled landing at the Whitehorse Airport this morning.
The 747-400 made a safe landing at the airport just before 7:30 am.
Nippon Spokesperson Shawn McWerter says the pilots got an indicator flashing telling them there was a fire on the lower deck of the plane.
Fire Trucks were on hand to greet the jet, and were spotted checked out its' right engine, and cockpit area.
The plane was flying from New York to Anchorage.
The five-person crew is expected to take a break for about 12 hours before resuming their flight.
Meantime, the 747's arrival resulted in a busier than normal morning at the Whitehorse Airport.
Jennifer Gehaire, is a Communications Analyst with the Department of Highways and Public Works.
She says, officials in Whitehorse were called into action just after 7 o'clock, as the plane made an emergency call to Nav Canada.

Emergency crews were on the tarmac when the plane arrived just before 7:30.
The plane landed without incident and all 5 crew members walked away from the aircraft without injury.
