Hello WJHR,
I'm aware of the published minimum requirements for pilots. Obviously experience levels of those hired far exceed the minimum.
My question: Is there a written or unwritten Multi-Engine PIC requirement? 500 hrs. is the number I hear most often. I have never been able to get a definitive answer. Some say there is no chance without it.
I think many of us reach points in our careers when we have to decide between command experience on smaller aircraft and experience on large/jet aircraft as a first officer. So it would be very helpful to know how we can best direct our efforts.
If anyone besides WJHR has confirmed information or advice, please feel free to add.
Thanks.

Re: WJHR: Multi-PIC?
If it helps, I got on without 500 MPIC. I had 1500 hours PIC, but most was on the PC-12 and the rest on the King Air 100. Good luck!

Re: WJHR: Multi-PIC?
Batur,
They call you based on meeting a certain percentage on their matrix. Total time is a big one, type rating on a 737ng or similar is big, level d experience, scheduled airline service, military. I don't think degrees and languages bare a huge percentage but it certainly helps.
The more time you got until about 5000 hours the better your score.
Hope that helps!
