Would be interesting to hear what your best/worst layovers are, in WJ's world.

Best layovers?

When the old lady is on a rampage....

Worst layovers?

When she isn't.

Simple as that.

Hmm... very subjective.
For some, the 'best' layover equals the longest time away from home, for others, it means getting back home again as quick as possible... maybe preferably no layover at all (i.e. one day pairing).

I live in YQT, so I like those to be with the family. I don't gamble but I like 24 hrs in vegas. I'm a climber and have brought my gear with me and rented a car. The climbing is world class at Red Rocks. I like Quebec city and Vancouver as well. I don't like the party places (CUN).

I don't think you'll get an answer. Too many security issues these days. They are all good hotels though. You're definitely not roughing it.

I love YXS! No joke! Nice hotel, amenities nearby, golf course across the street, reliable transportation, etc.

nothing wrong with YXS; the old place or the new.

Not a fan of
YQT hotel location. The hotel is what you'd expect there.
YYT property is lame; we can do better, its just going to cost us.
YYZ one of the hotels there needs to change!

Fav's would be getting "displaced" to a 5 star location in tropical location due to regular hotel filling up!? SWEET!

I hear ya, CAL! I look for a good gym and a quiet room that has a fridge and microwave. Bonus would be a mom and pop shawarma or breakfast joint near by. Fast wifi is nice too...makes facetiming with the family a lot more enjoyable!
