Private floatplane Operation vancouver island area

Where does a person dock and fuel a private floatplane in the victoria area? How about cambell rv or quadra island?

I think that Victoria Harbour is pretty much a closed shop, unless you want to jump through major hoops. There's a lot of private planes at Pat Bay (adjacent to CYYJ, on the west end of the field) Big long dock, and fuel, if you call ahead. Depending on the time/day of your arrival/departure, you might even convince someone to pull your plane out of the saltwater for the night. Decent landing conditions, unless it's blowing W or SW, in which case it will get rough if the wind is >15kts..

Regarding CR and Quadra, phone Corilair in Campbell River.

Best bets for Quadra would be April Point Marina, Taku Resort, Gowlland Harbour resort. No 100LL on Quadra.

Thanks guys. Endless possibilities round there for poking about on floats as long as ones willing to get saltwater on the plane. I suppose a lake to dock in part of the time helps.

There were lots in Ganges Harbour on Salt Spring Island as well. At least there was when I lived out there
