N610ED Citation 500 crash Oct 18 2013 Wichita

A 1975 Citation 500 has been reported down just after departure from Wichita this morning.
No details are known other than the aircraft is N610ED - FlightAware shows the aircraft was
heading to Texas.

Local news report aircraft is down in Sedgwick County, SE of Wichita - a fire is reported at the
scene but all roads into the area are closed.

Witness - states they saw a wing fall off in flight.

Sheriff - states aircraft split apart before impacting the ground.

Two persons confirmed on board - 72 year old owner and his 49 year old pilot.

Aircraft at the time of the accident was SE of Wichita climbing thru 16,500 feet.
Aircraft in the area were reporting heavy icing conditions.

'Parts of the aircraft are reported 1.5 miles from the main wreckage.
