Re: Pilot takes off with frost covered windshield
Does it really matter? Pilots don't look outside anyways.
Re: Pilot takes off with frost covered windshield
Always found that was the only way to get it defrosted, most of the time it was clear by the end of the takeoff roll. This must just be a little thicker.

But seriously, folks ...
This is a twin. Why not crank up the janitrol after
startup? Direct all the air up front to the windshield.

Re: Pilot takes off with frost covered windshield
I remember seeing pilots in YXL scooping snow off of the pilot side windscreen with their hand through the storm window. They would then proceed to fire up and taxi out with 3/4 of their windscreens covered. I also remember one guy breaking a wingtip while taxiing an another went right into a snowbank.

This pilot also seems to think he did nothing wrong.

I think he has a hazardous attitude but I can't quite put my thumb on it...

Once again, I don't understand how these peoplehe didn't have to see anything
have a problem with disorientation when entering
IMC.
They don't look outside. That's so 20th century.

The video has been deleted. Guess he got tired of trying to defend his stupidity.
Re: Pilot takes off with frost covered windshield
Makes you wonder how much frost/contamination was on the wings?
