Contract flying

Post by lot lizard »

Does anyone know what is the best rating or endorsement for contract flying in Alberta or BC?
What rates are guys charging for their services?
Time exceeds Contrails minimums.

Thanks

The one you have the most experience on, are current, and is fairly widely used by the folks in Alberta.

Experience on type, good flight record (ie..no accidents...or incidents). Solid references. Experience in the type of work they do.

No idea of rates in Canada anymore. Typically depends on such things as type of equipment, length of contract, any training costs..many variables. But unless the contract is very short term, or on call whenever, the rates in canada are not great compared to overseas....I am sure you can guess why.

Also, contract pilots in Canada are typically not part of the A team.

Just my observations .
