Hello, Racking my brain on options...

Ultimate goal is Airlines for a decade then retire in high level Corporate Job. Current Age 29.

1000 TT BE30 (King Air 350) and BE20 Typed and Current (Right Seat)
250 PIC (qualifies for ATPL)
No bonds

Currently flying 35 hrs/month or 400/hrs a year
45K/year 20 days of on-call with no flexibility.
Bonus: I do 5K of groundschool instruction a year TOTAL : 50K/year

Present outlook: 18 months of on call work to obtain 1500TT and then probably a caravan PPC making 60K/year and flying 700hrs/year. Airlines in 3 years time.

Or should I look elsewhere at companies that can fly 500-600hrs a years, obtain 1500hrs in 1 year and get on with airlines by jumping to another company before becoming eligible for Airlines.

Honest opinions/experiences from when you were at a similar position. Thx and much appreciated.

Find a job that suits your life style and enjoy what you have. Everyone who wants to work at an airline will eventually. Dont chase metal. Dont move somewhere your going to hate because the time will look good in your log book.

A difference of 6 months will not make much of a difference in the grand scheme of things, but future employers will wonder why you jumped ship at such a point. but 50k/yr as a Beech cojoe is going to be hard to beat elsewhere and you will make yourself miserable knowing you took a pay cut, to work work, in a totally new environment. You're also still a ways off from an upgrade into the left seat anywhere else in the beech.

Just my opinion, but if things are reasonable where you are, it doesn't make much sense to leave.

I heard that Jazz recently hired some guys with less than 300 hrs.

Curious, why even bother with an airline if you only plan on doing it for 10 years, why not try and find a corporate job now? Regardless, I'd recommend completing your ATPL asap. If you just want to sample the airline life style why not apply to Porter, Jazz or Encore once you have your ATPL in hand? The only thing that might hold you back from a good corporate gig might be a lack of multi-command time a couple of years down the road.
