Typical media trying to make news. An American C185 had an engine failure and safely dead sticked onto a small lake about 10 miles from Ignace. No injuries, no crash, just a good job of putting it down and waiting for a rescue. Two aircraft were flying together and the second plane's pilot, once he saw his companions were safe, flew on to a nearby lodge and made a call to report the incident.

....And any word on the unrelated missing boater? Perhaps there's a worthy news story there which is about to be overlooked, just to write about a plane....

It's gotta suck being the missing boater ..

Typically for a random local news outfit in the dark, they said " the Transport Canada Safety Board" will investigate... A new agency ... I think NOT...

He's been missing since June 14 so I think they're looking for more of a floater than a boater now.pdw wrote:It's gotta suck being the missing boater ..
