Hello All
I have just had something show up on my ECG during a medical
I have been ordered to have another and am wondering what comes next
I feel great, in very good physical shape - that I know of
Is a stress test next?? If I pass that what then?
Is there anybody out there that have been down this road?? I would sure like to hear your experience.
The float season is to young for this:)

Re: Medical requirements
I had a Cat 1 medical done in the 90's and something showed up. Was my first Cat 1. Think I had another ECG done and the explanation was "non specific T waves." It can mean there is nothing wrong, just your signature on the paper is a bit different that the perfect test. It's been on my file sense then and every ECG that shows the same result gets OK'd. Was running 5 miles a day then so really didn't think there could have been too much wrong but everyone is different. Get answers from your doctor and he will most likely be able to have it straightened out. It just may take a little while. Give the regional medical officer at TC a call or his office. I've had great luck speaking to someone at their office over the years unlike some other people have.
Good Luck

Re: Medical requirements
I had that a few years ago, doc asked me if I had eaten anything prior to the medical. Said ya, did a McD drive thru on the way out, I was hungry. It was friday, long weekend coming up. He told me to go home, come back Tuesday morning, empty stomach. I spent the long weekend quite worried, a heart problem suddenly ? Tuesday morning, ecg was just fine.
I left with specific instructions, never eat fast food on the way to medical, it causes some chemical change, that affects the ecg electrodes.
15 years later, I've always gone to medical with an empty stomach since, never had an issue since either.
But that experience was enlightening for me. If a McD burger and shake will screw up the ECG, what else is it going to be screwing up ? I've never eaten one since, and never will.
