Airliner on fire in YYZ

Post by Rebel »

Just been reported so there are no accurate reports but the picture I'm looking at appears to be a foreign registered -330/340 on landing at 3:50pm during a downpour

Ot is an Air France A340. I had him on my scanner as he passed over
the outer maker for 24L. Then heard the controller syahe went off the runway.

A Luftansa 747 made a go around right after AF landed.

It is on fire now.

Hope the people got out.

It was a really heavy down piur when he came by.

45min ago I was out on the balcony watching the lightworks, i live 5nm south/west of YYZ. I'm on the 19th floor and yyz is visible. I saw a few planes depart and thought to myself these pilots are nuts. I swear I had a sense that I will be posting about it on here... sad news, I'v taken this flight back and forth to CDG over 20 times!

Hope there are many survivors.

I've heard that there are some survivors at this time. Some people apparently jumped off and ambulances picked them up from the 401.
