Better to give them the A319s and keep the newer and bigger 220s for mainline!hamstandard wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2020 4:55 pmI wonder if Jazz could get the A220.rudder wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 8:26 am The only scenario that the AC pilots need fear is some situational manipulation that forces their CBA open and exposes them to potential government intervention in the bargaining process that would allow for legislatively imposed binding arbitration in areas of their CBA that are otherwise off limits.

As the number of confirmed corona case hit 20000 people are starting to wake up about how corrupt and disorganized Quebec really is.
Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Increased Purchase Price to $18 per Share
Can you expand? Quebec corruption is related to the number of corona cases? I guess the entire world is corrupt then. Do you have something more intelligent to say?Jean-Pierre wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 1:16 pm As the number of confirmed corona case hit 20000 people are starting to wake up about how corrupt and disorganized Quebec really is.

Smart money long ago took a position. Market is up a bit today, on virtually nothing for volume. That's just a few bored traders playing games on the bid/ask to see where somebody will bite.
Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Increased Purchase Price to $18 per Share
Keep hoping your horrible career choices are saved by a buyout eh?
Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Increased Purchase Price to $18 per Share
Loll...first I don’t regret my career choices, I had a lot of fun at every airlines (except at Jazz). Then I don’t really care about AC (I already said no in the past, and if the deal goes through I am not sure I would stay anyway since I would probably feel like at Jazz). The only gain I am hoping in the deal is about 10 years of retirement

Jazz to Transat? Are you lying to us or to yourself? Sounds like a pfo from big red.
Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Increased Purchase Price to $18 per Share
I am not lying at all, I was at Jazz when there was no movement to AC and you had to wait 8 years to move FO to PIC. But you were probably still in your father’s balls at that time.

yes because I just graduated from Seneca. The best place on earth

Revisiting this thread after almost a week and the same old insults still being thrown around by Big Red.
Big surprise.
Big surprise.

Are you truly that thoughtless in real life or is it just your on-line persona?
Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Increased Purchase Price to $18 per Share
On-line persona. If you havent caught on to that by now, something is terribly wrong lol
but I must say, the fact that you guys seem to be hoping so bad a merger happens speaks about how bad TS is pooched. usually both sides dont want it.
Switch the situation around Jean-Luc, if TS was buying AC for shits and giggles. would you be so thougtful as to want to give away your seniority to another pilot group. I think not

TRZ is trading above $10.
AC is still quasi-stationary at $17-18.

Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Increased Purchase Price to $18 per Share
You mean if TS had 4000 plus pilots and had to absorb 670 pilots that came with airplanes and slots? Doesn't sound too bad to me form a mathematics perspective.
TS pilots stand to loose more than AC pilots in some aspects, look what 10-15 years gets you at TS vs AC, no way a TS pilot has the same quality of life after the merge. We have no idea how the monetary will get sorted out so spare me the big gains waiting for us.
Neither pilot group asked for this, we will be asked to sort it out like gentlemen and if we can't then an arbitrator will do it for us. No amount of insults or whining on a forum will change that.
Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Increased Purchase Price to $18 per Share
Ah best idea yet.
AC buys us, but we keep completely separate lists, Union, operation and the rest. Just have the same parent company. They can have the seniority numbers, money, etc and we keep trucking on as we always have doing our thing.
Personally, i'd love it that way.
On a separate note. With the amount of personal insults in this thread, WHY HAS IT NOT BEEN LOCKED YET.

If you want to keep just keep doing what you're doing, then why do you want to get bought by AC?
Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Increased Purchase Price to $18 per Share
Yeah if you want to be seperate why are you hoping the deal goes through so much?
Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Increased Purchase Price to $18 per Share
Holy sweet potatoes this thread is ridiculous.
Much like it feels like March 58th, this thread is the same page, over, and over, and over. It's like Groundhog Day For Dummies. Absolutely nothing positive will be decided or accomplished here. You 2 AC guys stuck in the feedback loop, I'm trying not to be insulting, just direct; I don't know if it's quarantine getting to you, but let's all just walk away from the keyboard for a bit. Yeah I know it fucking snowed last night, but go take a walk. Buy a puppy. Something. Anything!
I agree, lock this stupid thing. I'm going for a ride.

Surely you mean just two or three pilots... and they’re all on this forum. Never heard that kind of speech on the line or meetings!
Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Increased Purchase Price to $18 per Share
Show me a single post where I have advocated/pleaded/wet dreamed myself for this deal to go through. That’s the issue, you’ve taken what one person said and lamb based the entire pilot group, just like how you’re giving the AC group a bad name (I have plenty of friends at AC, so I am well aware there’s great folks there)
Oh, so you don’t want a separate list??

AC postponed their equipment bid until after Garneau's decision on the deal. That doesn't sound like a company that's sure it's going to go through with things as planned.
