The deal will be dead when it will be announced as is. AC had many occasions to make it official at the worst time during the past months but still they keep up with the process (ie sending the missing docs to the European Union). The management think about the long term interests of their company, the short term frustrations of their employees is not in the equation (unfortunately).
Like I said many times I don’t want to steal your job nor ruin your career; it’s your own incorrect interpretations.
Unless it has changed as of the Q2 call 2 weeks ago the European Commission is still missing the docs and the process is STILL paused, doesn’t seem like the actions of a company you ‘clearly wants to get the deal done’. Sounds like a company who doesn’t want to pay a break up fee, Sounds more like wishful thinking on your part. I supposed we will see in a short 40 days from now when TS is out of extensions.
AC isn’t going to be your life preserver, they are not going to buy a boat anchor company at the same time that they have 22500 employees in the breadline and while asking for a government bailout.
It’s just karma man, your only reaping what you sowed.
The process was paused by the EU because they were missing one of the many documents they required while both companies had more important stuff to work on.
It’s a situation pictured and reported by the medias at instant T. The process is not paused anymore...
Regarding your Karma mentra; deal or no deal it won’t change my life; I don’t really need AT not AC to have a pretty descent lifestyle.
Anyway we will figure out pretty soon I guess.

It's a little like walking downtown. You've got crowds of decent people walking, talking with friends, going about their business, but there are always a couple of unfortunate nut jobs half-naked, screaming obscenities at strangers while playing with themselves outside of the shelter.Gilles Hudicourt wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2020 9:04 am I think I am done posting on AvCanada. It's always the same people, and we know they're there, but we always just cross the street and ignore them. Because who in their right mind would try to talk, reason or actually debate them?!
I find it's much easier here if you just do that. Just cross the street and ignore them.

Transat giving back 9 330's to the lessor?
Re: When is Air Transat likely to resume flights
8 A330 exactly to get a final number of 12 in the fleet, they will keep adding the new A321neoLR as per the plan. These numbers have been specifically requested by Air Canada for their leisure division (of course you won’t believe it but it does not matter).
Re: When is Air Transat likely to resume flights
doest that mean some pilots will officially lose their jobs? heard the most juniors f/as are starting to get a redundancy letter. not sure about the accuracy though.
Re: When is Air Transat likely to resume flights
So…still no actual start date to resume any kind of operations? I see the aircraft sitting in YUL…sad. Feel very sad for our fellow aviators at AT. Wish them back soon…

Operations resumed; pilots in training as we speak. 470 pilots are now guaranteed to be recalled…
You’re not getting much info because we’re supposed to keep all info confidential; but it looks good.

Re: When is Air Transat likely to resume flights
How many pilots does that leave off?
Re: When is Air Transat likely to resume flights
Happy for you guys over at AT. It's a step in the right direction and seeing many airlines in Canada recalling such as Jazz, Porter, WestJet and now AT gives me hope we'll see our furloughed pilots at AC back soon. It would help if our union reps didn't fly nearly 100 hours a month, but cest la vie.
Do you guys have any info on when you could possibly see everyone back? I am going to guess that this is the first wave, and likely before everyone of the 470 is back there will be another announcement in the spring for the remainder. I hope so as I have a number of friends there near the bottom of the list and I'd be happy to see them all back working.

Recalls are steady till March for the 470 active positions (likely around 550 first numbers on the list). that will leave around 100-120 or so pilots laid off.

At least 545 recalled by March 17 2022.
Great LOU, 65 MMG with provisions for more pilots to be recalled if monthly average hits a target two consecutive months, straight time OT...

Theres a lot of training to do so most will barely fly after their sim. 65 hours to stay at home waiting for a full block is much better than CEWS...redbusdriver wrote: ↑Tue Aug 17, 2021 7:30 am 65? ouch. although there are those here who think the 75 mmg for rouge is worse than your 65![]()

Have seen TS NEOs out and about on the ramp all over the country over the past couple weeks. Great to see you guys flying again. Hopefully the YUL routes are doing well for you until international travel returns.

What is CEWS? I thought airlines would go bankrupt if they used CEWS...
