Pretty sure Air Canada pilots are destroying it for all Canadian pilots. Negotiating 10 percent pay cut during 8 percent inflation. Captains paid less than jet blue FOs. If anyone was going to raise wages in this industry it would start with the largest airlines.

I’m sure there is a more sensible way to look at pilot wages in Canada but if we just want to swing our fists and blame each other….

Air Canada first year FOs on the 777 and 787 would need to work two jobs to make ends meet to live in Toronto... not unlike many other airline pilots in Canada. It's still a disgusting thought that this is the case.

The industry will be better off when Lynx and Flair go bankrupt, and the remaining 2 can actually attempt to improve WAWCONs rather than being forced to use those bottom feeders as comparators. Oh, and Swoop needs to be be binned too.

Don’t know what the numbers are for the pay scale at lynx but your numbers aren’t right for flair. Again it’s people as dumb as you who make it hard to increase wages in this country when all you do is fanboy/girl over what I’m presuming are the duopoly in this country. Flair starts their FO’s at like 20k more than the “nhl of airlines”…. Pathetic. Pretty sure the left seat pay-scale tops out at 175k or something around there.

Do your homework and lookup pay scales before making yourself look like a moron.

Unless the union at AC decides to stop being in bed with the company, that airline will most definitely continue to s**t on junior wages and drag the industry down. Guess the senior captains there care more about their cottage and boat payments than the younger generation being forced into spending half their income on rent
